At first this slogan might not make much sense.
I mean, why should we try and encourage folks to drive with such high gas prices?
But the kind of driving we’re talking about here is the taking-three-days-to-drive-a-hundred-miles kind of driving – where the driving is more about pulling over and soaking in a place: stopping to look at sweetgrass baskets, walking a trail, putting your toes in the sand, sipping a local wine or finding a place that sells shrimp fresh off the boat. It’s about taking the time to appreciate the feel of a place, where it’s been and where it’s going.
The kind of driving that is more about slowing down than speeding up.
