I love that there is a Bluegrass Festival just a stone’s throw off of Highway 17! Now how great isthat? So if you’re in the neighborhood the weekend of April 6th and 7th 2012, well – pull over when you see the Sewee Outpost in Awendaw, South Carolina and stay for awhile!
It’s the Charleston Bluegrass Festival – and here’s a bit of what they have to say about the event:
Awendaw Green, The Surf Bar and The Sewee Outpost are proud to announce a true Bluegrass Festival for Charleston to enjoy! A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Sewee Association’sCape Romain National Wildlife Refuge’s Sea Turtle Programs.
I’m happy that I’m in the area this weekend, and I plan to stop by on Friday evening with a few friends. So if you’re in the area, stop by and enjoy a great event for a great cause – and for now, I’ll let the music speak for itself… here are videos of some of the groups that will be performing during the two-day event.
Update: Review of the event by the Charleston City Paper
