Southern Living Magazine’s “Georgia Coast Road Trip”

Did you happen to catch the September 2010 issue of Southern Living magazine, and the piece titled “Georgia Coast Road Trip“?

It’s a great piece – describing a two-day trip that starts the first day with lunch and a bit of shopping in Savannah, Georgia – followed by dinner just off Harris Neck Road at the Old School Diner (near the Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge).  On the second day of the trip you make stops in Darien, Brunswick and finally – St. Simons Island and dinner at Southern Soul Barbeque.

Most of this road trip has you driving down Highway 17 (where it parallels Interstate 95 for much of the way) and takes you through the following counties in Georgia: Chatham, Bryan, Liberty, McIntosh and Glynn Counties.
