Edisto Island National Scenic Byway

A worthwhile detour off of Highway 17 in Charleston County is the 16.8 mile stretch of road called the Edisto Island National Scenic Byway.  You can find a great description of the drive down the byway, referred to as ‘a scenic ramble on Edis-slow Island,’ here.
