Unfortunately I drove by Country Flair in the early evening, so it was closed. Otherwise, I would have loved to have taken a look inside – I just loved the building. Next time, I’ll definitely try to arrange my schedule so that they are open when I drive by. Perguimans County looks rich in history – according to the county’s website, the town of Hertford served as North Carolina’s capital until 1716. I definitely plan to visit the town the next I travel down this stretch of Highway 17 – it looks charming.
