Charleston Magazine, in their June 2013 issue, featured “Ramble On! 30 fun, cultural, educational, and downright quirky destinations for sunny-day adventures” – a piece describing fun and easy day trips from Charleston, South Carolina.
Many of the road trips were along the Highway 17 corridor – including stops at Huntington Beach State Park in Murrells Inlet and Atalaya (the winter home to Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington), Hampton Plantation, Brookgreen Gardens, Hopsewee Plantation and Edisto Island (Botany Bay) – to name a few. They even included (with permission) two images from this website – one of a shrimp boat coming into the dock in McClellanville (left) and one of theSeeWee Restaurant in Awendaw.
Check out the piece – and plan a trip!
